UK and EU Trademarks
Once the trademark has been registered you can then use the ® symbol (this is usually placed on the top right of the trademark) on all your business’s marketing material, which confirms the trademark is registered and acts as a warning to any competitors seeking to copy or imitate your goods or services.
Once your trademark is registered it will be significantly easier to bring legal action against any infringements, copying or passing off. Furthermore, if this is the first time you have filed the trademark, it can be used as the basis for future registrations made abroad within 6 month.
Fee Based Registration Process:
Step 1 – Comprehensive Search & Advice Report – £49 – We conduct a detailed search of the UK, EU, US and international trademark databases, this determines the trademark position for your business name and branding (logo) and provides you with a risk assessment of the potential for opposition to your registration application based on our analysis.
Step 2 – Preparation and Filing Application Paperwork (excludes Gov fees)– £296 – Once we’ve completed the above step 1 report and the decision is made to proceed with registration, we will then prepare and file your trademark registration application with the appropriate agencies as well as manage the end to end process which includes advising on any oppositions. We will include the link to do this in the report and the report email which we send you in step 1.
Steps 1 & 2 = £345 to register your trademark
